The present watch is a highly attractive example of the three-body chronograph reference 6234. It is in overall good condition, featuring a beautifully patinated dial with the word Anti-Magnetic on it, as well as a blue telemetre scale for kilometers and a black tachometre scale. The edges of the case and the milling on the back are sharp.

Preceding the Cosmograph Daytona family of watches, the Oyster chronograph reference 6234 is one of Rolex's most sought-after watches, effortlessly combining a sporty look with elegant flair.

Different examples of reference 6234 are illustrated in 100 Superlative Rolex Watches by John Goldberger, pp. 120-127, as well as in I Cronografi Rolex - La Leggenda, Pucci Papaleo Editore, pp. 254-276 and in 100 Years of Rolex by Guido and Franca Mondani, p. 79.
