Cal. 1570 automatic movement, 26 jewels, black matte dial, luminous dot, baton and dagger numerals, luminous mercedes hands, sweep centre seconds, magnified window for date, tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case, screw back, screw down crown, revolving black bezel calibrated for 60 units, case, dial and movement signed
40 mm. diam.

Specialist note

The present Red Submariner reference 1680 is one of the earlier examples and fitted with a Mark II dial. Interestingly, contrary to the regular production, the dial of this example here does not feature the outer minute seconds divisions. Since, at the 6 o'clock position the dial is still featuring the typical "SWISS - T < 25", it is possible that this dial was never printed with outer white divisions.
