Specialist note

With Rolex Guarantee dated 10 March 1977, product information, document holder and fitted presentation box.

The Mark IV dial is the final evolution of the double red dial. Looking at it, it is immediately apparent how Rolex strived to achieve a balance of all the elements of the dial: the Rolex crown is larger and more defined than the previous versions; the word "SUBMARINER" and the number "2000" are the same size; the indication 2000ft = 610mt is looking bigger than earlier iterations, creating a point of focus and balance at the center of the 5 lines. The dial, absolutely original, aged beautifully granting a warm, even, ivory coloration to the luminous markers.

The case as well is in remarkable conditions, with crisp engravings and milling on the back, and it is accompanied by Rolex fliplock bracelet, a collectible in its own right.
