Cal. 1030 automatic movement, 25 jewels, black dial, luminous dot, baton and dagger numerals, luminous hands, sweep centre seconds, tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case, revolving black bezel calibrated for 60 units, screw back, screw down crown, stainless steel Rolex Oyster expandable bracelet, case, dial and movement signed

Specialist note

The present watch is a fine 1950s timepiece with charming aged dial and nice engine-turned bezel. Moreover, it has a stainless steel and pink gold Rolex Oyster bracelet with an interesting and rare patented hooded link between the upper and lower lugs. The stainless steel hooded link is inscribed Brevet on the inside and features the Swiss cross. These very special hooded links can also be found on the Rolex "Deep Sea Special", made for the renowned Swiss physicist and explorer Professor Auguste Piccard.

The watch has not seen much, if any, polishing in its life as both the bezel and back are still crisp as are the numbers on the back.
