PETRA CORTRIGHT (B. 1986)

As a master of "post-internet art," Petra Cortright transfixes viewers with her colorful, digitally-made renderings. Working with a variety of mediums, the American artist experiments with both the past and the present. Many of her works are reminiscent of the high energy of abstract expressionism however they are offset by her interest in the digital age. In this work, the viewer is transported into "Ashley's Room," a place filled with computer-generated floral, feminine, abstract imagery.
