Tasting note: A healthy orange red color. Very sweet nose with fresh cherry and black berry fruit aromas. The same seductive style on the nose as its brother Graham’s. On the back some development shows. Soft taste with a lot of fresh rich ripe fruits, typical 1970. So seductive in a more jammy style on the finish. Well balanced, a very good 1970. Tasting the quality of the 1963 and 1970 Gould Campbell side by side it’s remarkable that this shipper is so little known. Both these ports belong in every serious vintage port collection.
