SECOND QUARTER 19TH CENTURY
Of dark blue wool bordered by two ribbons of bullion embroidery, each corner with bullion crown above a crossed sword and baton with two stars beneath, and a leather panel on each side to protect the cloth from the stirrup straps
36¾ in. (93.3 cm.) long at the centre

By family tradition this is the shabraque used in the Crimea by Lord Raglan.
