Accompanied by a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1956 and its subsequent sale on March 20th of the same year.

Serpico y Laino was Patek Philippe's prestigious retailer in Caracas, Venezuela. The present watch with its beautiful enamel dial and gilt signature is made even more desirable as it was retailed by Serpico y Laino which can be seen in the S.& L. stamp to the dial, case back, and bracelet clasp.

Introduced into the market in 1952, reference 2526 was Patek Philippe's first self-winding or automatic watch ever made, in 1960 it was replaced by reference 3428, equipped with the second generation self-winding movement, caliber 27-460.
