GUILLERMO KUITCA (B. 1961)

As a leading Argentinean artist, Guillermo Kuitca is known for his interest in architectural images. In this work, he manipulates an inkjet print of the seating plan of Studio 54. With the sweeping colors and gestural forms, Studio 54 seems to become more akin to an abstract expressionist watercolor than to a systematic seating plan.
