GUILLERMO KUITCA (B. 1961)

As a leading Argentinean artist, Guillermo Kuitca is known for his interest in architectural images. In this work, he manipulates an inkjet print of the seating plan of the Hollywood Bowl. With the sweeping colors and gestural forms, Hollywood Bowl seems to become more akin to an abstract expressionist watercolor than to a systematic seating plan.
