Château Haut-Brion--Vintage 1985
Pessac (Graves), 1er cru classé. Château-bottled
"A perfect example of the elegance of Haut-Brion, the 85 is beginning to open up well, with very fine aromas of currant and plum shaded with cedar, lead pencil and forest floor. On the palate the texture is silken, but the finish is long, with firm but not astringent tannins and great finesse." Dinner at Christie's, December 2009
