Specialist note

Consigned by a private collector, the present very well-preserved ref. 118206 is realized in the most luxurious metal, platinum. The dial with diamond and baguette-cut indexes displays a highly attractive colour, changing from silvery-grey to light blue depending on the light, enhancing the overall appeal of this fine timepiece. Moreover, it still retains the protective green sticker to the case back as well as the full set of accessories.

A true icon within the world of vintage watch collecting, the birth of the Day-Date can be traced back to 1956. Quickly becoming one of the most celebrated models of the Geneva manufacture, the model was created in an impressive variety of models, showcasing the creativity of the firm and illustrating there aim to follow the evolving tastes of their customers as well as requirements of some of their most demanding clients.
