Specialist note

The cherished possession of a private collector, the present wristwatch is offered in very good overall condition, still retaining the protective green sticker to the case back.

Purchased from the celebrated retailer Hausmann, Via del Corso in Rome, it is cased in platinum and features a superb mother-of-pearl dial with brilliant and baguette-cut diamond-set hour markers. Wristwatches with mother-of-pearl dials were usually produced in a limited number of examples, due to the difficulty of working such a fragile material as well as keeping the high Rolex standards of quality.
