Specialist note

Consigned by a private collector the present Tri-Compax model is distinguished by the rare retailer’s signature Türler and the very good original overall condition.

Launched in 1944, the legendary "Tri-Compax" is certainly among Universal's best-known models. One of the most complex chronograph wristwatches of the period, its functions include days, weeks, jumping months, moon phases, minute counter, chronographic hours, and a tachymeter scale. The model was available in steel and gold cases, with a variety of dial colors and designs. The designation “Tri” is derived from the three main complications, chronograph, full calendar and moon phases.

The family brand Türler, one of Switzerland’s most prestigious retailers and manufacturers, was founded in Biel in 1883 and is represented at several locations in Zurich.
