Specialist note

The present MultiChron Astronomic wristwatch is one of the rarest Gallet watches ever produced. Furthermore, the movement is stamped with the US import marks: JXR.

The MultiChron model was manufactured from 1955 until 1974 and available in stainless steel, 14K and 18K gold cases. The movement caliber 88 is a modified Valjoux caliber 72C. Due to the high selling cost at the time, very few examples were produced, rendering it a highly collectible vintage wristwatch in today’s market.
