Cal. 481 mechanical movement, 17 jewels, black dial, applied dagger and square numerals, outer tachometer scale, two windows for day and month, four subsidiary dials for date and moon phases, constant seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours registers, circular case, snap on back, two rectangular chronograph buttons in the band, case, dial and movement signed

According to the Archives of Universal, the present watch was manufactured in 1948.

Launched in 1944, the legendary "Tri-Compax" is certainly one of Universal's most famous models. One of the most complex chronograph wristwatches of the period, its functions include days, weeks, jumping months, moon phases, minute counter, chronographic hours, and a tachymeter scale.
