Reference 491 features a long stretched curved case, typical of 1930's style, and is one of the watch references that inspired the 2006 limited edition reference 5105. Reference 491 was produced from 1936 through 1938, and an estimated 45 examples were produced in total only. The present watch, according to our research, is one of only 8 pieces to appear at auction thus far.
