With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1954 and its subsequent sale on 13 October 1955. Furthermore delivered with Patek Philippe fitted presentation box.
The present collector's piece, of superb quality and rarity, will delight the future owner of this example as it offers strong case proportions and well defined stepped lugs which over time have been treated with respect and consequently hardly been exposed to careless polishing. The hallmarks underneath the lugs are crisp as one would expect. The dial shows no imperfections and is in very good overall condition.
This rare vintage Patek Philippe offered here at Christie's is from the first series of which, according to our research, less than 36 examples are known to date, underlining once again the true rarity of this sought-after model.
