A collection of production artwork for the United Artists film Battle Of Britain, 1969, comprising, 11 original artworks for various scenes including; French Airfield M.E attack watercolour on paper -- 7x14in. (18x36cm.) signed by the artist Maurice Carter, Dunkirk graphite on board -- 15x28in. (38x71cm.) signed by the artist Maciej Piotrowski, German advance in Dunkirk watercolour on paper -- 13x19in. (33x48.5cm.), the radar attack watercolour on board -- 8x21in. (20x53.5cm.), in the Aircraft Control Room three storyboards pastel and ink on paper each -- 6x14in. (151x35.5cm.), in Int. Luftwaffe Chief of Staffs Office watercolour on board -- 10x24in. (25.5x61cm.) signed by the artist Maurice Carter, and artwork of the planes; accompanied by 24 sheets of photocopied storyboards for flight sequences, the bombing of London, Aircraft Control and some German scenes, largest -- 20½x15in. (52x38cm.), together with a photocopy letter signed by Air Officer Commanding in Chief HBJ Dowding, played by Laurence Olivier (36)

The signed works in this lot are by Maurice Carter Art Director for the production and Maciej Piotrowski a Polish artist who also flew for his country and Britain during the Second World War.
