AUDEMARS PIGUET, REF. 14802ST.OO.0944ST.02, ROYAL OAK JUBILEE, A RARE LIMITED EDITION STEEL BRACELET WATCH WITH DATE, NUMBERED 684 OUT OF 1000 EXAMPLES

Commemorating the 20th anniversary of the original Royal Oak reference 5402ST, Audemars Piguet released reference 14802 in 1992. Limited to only 1000 examples, it is estimated that 300 were produced in yellow gold, and 700 in steel. Further, only 300 of the steel models coveted a highly desirable salmon dial, such as the present lot.

The present reference 14802ST features a collector-favored steel “Jumbo” case measuring 39mm, such as the original Royal Oak, but it also has a sapphire caseback to view Audemars Piguet caliber 2121. The ultra-thin, 36 jewel movement features a skeletonized and decorated 21k gold rotor that is individually numbered, with the present lot reading 684/1000. With the current lot’s steel 39mm case and salmon dial, the watch presents as the most desirable configuration and is an excellent opportunity to own a historic, celebrational Royal Oak timepiece.
