The design of the Cartier Tank was inspired by the tanks of the WWI Allied Forces. The design of the case is inspired from American skyscrapers from the 1930s. Tank Americaine timepieces display an elongated case with a more pronounced curve than the original Tank model. This model was made in a limited edition of 170 pieces and this particular example is number 15. This limited edition features burgundy colored Roman numerals and classic Cartier blued steel hands.
