According to the Archives of Audemars Piguet, the present watch was made in 1941.
Audemars Piguet vintage chronographs are amongst the rarest type of complicated wristwatches, made in much smaller quantities compared to other highly distinguished Geneva manufacturers. They stand out by their unique design and subtle proportions, more playful than their peers made by Patek Philippe but less sumptuous than their siblings signed Vacheron & Constantin. Examples in rose gold are exceedingly rare and we cannot remember ever having seen another example of this model in such beautiful, unspoilt condition.
