Cal. 19 nickel-finished lever movement, 42 jewels, bi-metallic compensation balance, swan neck regulator, minute repeating on two gongs activated by a slide in the band, silvered matte dial, applied baton numerals, four subsidiary dials for day, month, date combined with 30 minute register, constant seconds combined with phases of the moon, heavy polished circular case, raised bezel, split-seconds chronograph buttons in the band and crown, case, dial and movement signed

Specialist note

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1913 with the watch being completed in 1965 and encased in 1967 with its subsequent sale on April 12, 1976.

The present lot, purchased some 20 years ago for over 200,000 Swiss Francs has been kept in the same private collection and hidden away from the market. It is in overall outstanding condition and is to date the only ref. 862 known from the market with moonphases at 6 o'clock. The only other known example of reference 862 is fitted with the moonphases at 12 o'clock.
