With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1913 with the watch being completed in 1965 and encased in 1967 with its subsequent sale on April 12, 1976.
The present lot, purchased some 20 years ago for over 200,000 Swiss Francs has been kept in the same private collection and hidden away from the market. It is in overall outstanding condition and is to date the only ref. 862 known from the market with moonphases at 6 o'clock. The only other known example of reference 862 is fitted with the moonphases at 12 o'clock.
