Cal. 22 gilt-finished lever movement stamped with the Geneva seal and numbered twice, 26 jewels, guillaume balance, micrometer regulator, wolf's tooth winding, silvered matte dial, baton numerals, blued steel hands, subsidiary seconds, circular case with sloped bezel, hacking feature activated by depressing a button in the band at 4 o'clock, large ball-form crown, case, dial and movement signed, case stamped F.B. (Frères Borgel), in Patek Philippe original fitted walnut presentation box with two curved metal plaques with engraved and inlaid black enamel inscription Patek, Philippe & Co. and L'heure

Specialist note

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with extra movement in 1924 and encased in 1934 with the sold date January 10, 1947. The extract further states the movement received an observatory rating in 1930.

To the best of our knowledge, this watch has never before been offered in public.

Patek Philippe movements participating at Observatory Timing Contests were numbered twice as is this example.
