The radially veneered and chequer-banded tilt-top above a turned support on moulded downsept legs and scrolled toes, one leg with a section of replacement
27¾ in. (70.5 cm.) high; 26¼ in. (67 cm.) wide; 26 in. (66 cm.) deep

Acquired by Sir Sydney Barratt for Summerhill, Staffordshire and later installed at Crowe Hall, Bath, 1961 and by descent.

Specialist note

With its distinctive 'marbled' veneer and ebonised borders, this tripod table recalls the work of the Golden Square cabinet-makers Mayhew and Ince.
