Upright cut glass flask of oval section, overlaid with pierced gold cagework embossed with architectural elements, rocaille, flowerheads and foliage, the neck champlevé enamelled with opaque white band inscribed 'JAIME MON CHOIX', scroll and leaf-chased independent gold stopper with detached chain

Margaret, Countess Spencer (1868-1908), wife of Charles Robert, 6th Earl Spencer (1857-1922), perhaps given to her by her father Edward Charles Baring, Baron Revelstoke (1828-1897).
