Specialist note

George Sharp, Jr. is recorded in Danville from 1857 through the late 1860s, when he moved to Atlanta. The 1860 census records him as a jeweler and watchmaker. See: Marquis Boultinghouse, Silversmiths, Jewelers, Clock and Watchmakers of Kentucky, 1785-1900, 1980, p. 241.
