Cal. 722 mechanical lever movement stamped ROW, 17 jewels, black matte dial, applied baton numerals with luminous accents, luminous hands, three sunken beveled engine-turned silvered subsidiary dials for 12 hours register, 30 minutes and constant seconds, tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case, blank bezel calibrated to a maximum of 300 units per hour, with marks for 225 and 250, screw back, screw-down crown, two round chronograph buttons in the band, stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet and deployant clasp, overall approximate length 8 inches, case dial and movement signed by maker, dial further signed by retailer

Accompanied by a Rolex service invoice dated September 25th, 2000, Rolex polishing cloth and Rolex Service Division presentation box.

Reference 6239 is the first Rolex chronograph with the tachymeter scale engraved on the bezel: the trademark of what become one of the most successful, desired and recognizable line of timepieces ever created. The present watch is In remarkably original condition including the original early steel tachymeter bezel featuring a “300” demarcation.

The present example is made even more desirable as of the incredibly sought-after retailers signature on the dial, originally retailed by Tiffany & Co. in New York as well as ROW stamped on the bridge of the balance wheel, confirming it was produced especially for the American market.
