專家說明

Viollier worked in St Petersburg from 1780 where he became court painter. He was put in charge of the decoration of the Pavlosk Palace by Tsar Paul I. He also painted high-ranking members of the court in St Petersburg including Potemkin, an example of which is now in the Moscow Kremlin Collection of Miniatures.
