專家說明
"Painted in dark and heavy ink, one can still identify the rabbit's head, chest and legs through the dryness and wetness of the ink, which also highlights the luminous black hair of this lovely creature."
-Qi Baishi Huafa Yu Xinshang, People's Fine Arts Publishing House, 1992, p. 89.
The owner of Siyuan Tang is a great admirer of Qi Baishi's paintings, many of which formerly belonged to Hu?Peiheng (1892-1965). The painting is dedicated to Lengan, the sobriquet of Hu Peiheng, a well-known Chinese painter and fine art editor of the 20th century. Recognizing Qi Baishi's artistic talents, Hu befriended Qi in the mid-1920s. In 1928, Hu edited and published Qi Baishi huace chuji, the first painting collection of Qi Baishi. In 1959, Hu Peiheng and his son Hu Tuo co-edited Qi Baishi huafa yu xinshang. This book recorded Qi's painting methods, steps and details as witnessed by the father and son. It became an important source for studying the art of Qi Baishi as well as a tool for promoting his art at the time.
