CIRCA 1757-60
Each printed in black after Robert Hancock, the jug with a mask spout and scroll handle, printed with a half-length portrait of the King of Prussia and the date '1757', with military trophies issuing banners inscribed with battles from the Seven Years War and a figure emblematic of Fame, the petal-shaped saucer-dish with a full-length portrait of the King of Prussia standing before a scene from the Battle of Rosbach, below two putti bearing a palm frond and wreath for victory, inscribed 'RH Worcester' and the date '1757', the jug with slight chipping to spout, the saucer dish with small rim chip, slight scratching to enamel

The portrait is adapted from an engraving by Richard Houston after a painting by Antoine Pesne which commemorates the military successes of Frederick the Great, King of Prussia (1712-1786).
