Circular, of spreading bases, each with the Imperial double headed eagle in black on green, at the centre, within black, green and gilt borders on white ground, the exterior, stem and foot of gilt ground decorated with stylized floral motifs and simulated jewels, within blue or white borders, each marked under base and with red inventory numbers 'OXP.23099' and 'OXP.23071

專家說明

The Kremlin Service was commissioned by Tsar Nicholas I in 1836 from the Imperial Porcelain Factory, and the design entrusted to the painter and archeologist, F. G. Solntsev. The motifs were inspired by designs of 17th century Russian metalwork, for instance the dessert plates are after a jewelled, gold and enamelled plate made in 1667 for Natalia Kirilovna, neé Naryshkina, wife of the second Romanov Tsar, Aleksei Mikhailovich.
