The rounded rectangular twin-flap top, with a central removable slide with chessboard to the underside, enclosing a games compartment with sunken velvet-lined backgammon surface, the frieze with two drawers with anthemion escutcheons, flanked by brass anthemion mounts, with two simulated drawers on the reverse, on lyre-end supports with arched central stretcher, on slayed feet with brass-capped palm castors, the inside of one drawer with faded paper label, inscribed in ink, 'East-Room', paper label inscribed '2270'
