Estate of George Garcin, collector & fashion photographer;
by descent to a private collector, 1995;
acquired by present owner.

French-born Garcin was a fashion photographer and avid collector of cinema, music and art related photographs from the 1950s and 60s. His collection focused on the work of photographers he deeply respected and admired. A large group of works from his collection was sold at auction in France in 2007.
