In the late nineteenth century, there was a trend toward seasonal jewelry. Lalique handled the seasons deftly: lillies of the valley for May, wisteria for spring, a winter landscape for December and chestnuts for the first hint of autumn.
Please note that this property formerly belonged to Nina Alexandrovna Konchine and was sold in Paris in 1988.
