With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated March 1995, additional case back, product literature, instruction manual and leather wallet.
Fresh to the market, the present example offered here at Christie's impresses by its excellent overall condition.
According to our research, this watch is one of only 9 examples to have come up for auction thus far.
Thanks to its generous case proportions, reference 5020 is easily distinguishable from other Patek Philippe wristwatches and takes a unique position in the production of perpetual calendar chronographs. Adding to its rarity, the case of this present lot was made by the renowned case maker Jean-Pierre Hagmann, whose mark, JHP, is stamped on the inside of the case back.
Reference 5020 was in production from 1994 to 2002 and manufactured in all metals except stainless steel.
The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 309.
