专家说明

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial and raised rose gold indexes in 1943 and its subsequent sale on 22 August 1947.

The present rose gold reference 1526 comes from a distinguished private collection and has not been on the market since nearly 2 decades. It has very strong case proportions and shows impressively how substantial a healthy example of this historical model can be. The case has not suffered from inappropriate polishing and the dial, with the popular "long-signature dial" displays a nice, warm off-white patina. The original crown is still present and adds to the overall appearance. Research shows that in over 30 years of international watch auction, barely some 28 pink gold examples of reference 1526 with silvered dial have been offered publicly.

Reference 1526 is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, pp. 282 & 283.
