专家说明

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1956 and its subsequent sale on 21 December 1959.

Reference 1579, introduced into the market in 1943, enjoys substantial popularity and takes a unique position in the production of Patek Philippe's chronographs thanks to its large case diameter of 36mm and to its prominent facetted lugs.

The present watch constitutes a wonderful discovery to the world of watch collecting as it is preserved in magnificent condition; the untouched case having survived with incredibly sharp and substantial lugs and bearing particularly crisp hallmarks; the dial having taken a light and subtle patina from age. Furthermore in the much sought after pink gold case material it witnesses impressively how a reference 1579 left the workshops of Patek Philippe, showing the original finish of all case elements. A close inspection gives immediately the feeling that it is a truly private watch and has never been restored. Having, to the best of our knowledge, never been offered at auction before, its freshness to the market make it become an even more desirable watch.
Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful examples of a reference 1579 in pink gold ever to appear in public, in nearly flawless condition, the present watch is a great find for the discerning collector.
