专家说明

We are grateful to Jan van Helmont for suggesting the Saint-Saphorin provenance on the basis of the coat-of-arms on the reverse. Armand-François-Louis de Mestral de Saint-Saphorin, a diplomat of Swiss origins, represented the Kingdom of Denmark to the Holy Roman Emperor in Vienna, and assembled a significant collection of paintings and prints, including masterpieces such as Rembrandt's Andromeda, commissioned from the artist by Constantijn Huygens in circa 1630 (The Hague, The Royal Picture Gallery Mauritshuis).
