Exceedingly rare and prestigious, the superlative reference 3857 was introduced in 1997 to mark the 250th anniversary of the storied firm, Breguet. An extraordinarily complicated wristwatch, its functions include a minute repeater, perpetual calendar and tourbillon escapement, all housed within a 40-mm. 18k yellow gold case with classic Breguet details. The engine-turned dial display is masterfully executed, featuring jumping hours and minutes, a retrograde date.

The celebrated manufacture Breguet is known for their classically elegant and complicated timepieces. The founder Abraham-Louis Breguet (1747-1823) was a master of both technical mastery and aesthetic perspective.
