Unveiled in 2013, the present Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition Cylindrique à Quantième Perpétuel Jubilee is an impressive and mighty 42mm platinum timepiece featuring a perpetual calendar and tourbillon with a cylindrical hairspring. The watch was part of a limited series of timepieces to celebrate the 180th anniversary of Antoine LeCoultre’s workshop in Le Sentier. The rear of the timepiece features a hand-engraved rotor resembling the medal that LeCoultre won at the 1889 Universal Exposition in Paris. Limited to only 180 examples and with an original MSRP of $209,000, the present lot is an incredible haute horological marvel and value proposition to an astute collector.
