D.Bolger, Terrantez 1868
Madeira
Bottled from demi-john in 2020. New wax capsules with DB family seal. New stenciling. Levels: into-neck
Tasting note: Deep high toned nose with straw and subtle fudge aromas. Darker more concentrated then the 1869, old honey cake. The nose has you expect a dry tight taste but it’s the contrary. A rich explosion of peach fruit on the first taste, which leads to a concentrated acidity that grabs you and balances out the fine intensity. While the richness at first leads you away it’s the beautiful acidity that brings you back to Madeira. Great taste. Slight pretty bitter tone on the finish. Last tasted July 2020.
