Tasting note: Bright gold colour. Fully mature bouquet with complex aromatics ranging from grilled hazelnuts and almonds to hints of honey and treacle tart. Rich and intense on the palate with peach, apricot and strawberry flavours and a delicate fine mousse. Full bodied, broad and opulent ripe style as to be expected from the hot and sunny summer of 1989 with a long persistent finish. Magnum disgorged in 1995. Tasted June 2021. Tim Triptree MW
