Specialist note

This endangered species strap is shown for display purposes only and is not for sale. The watch will be supplied with a calf leather strap.

Consigned by an important private collector, the present timepiece is offered in extremely good overall condition. It is furthermore sold with the additional case back, setting pin and winding presentation box.

Available exclusively in white gold, reference 5041 is the rarest of all the perpetual calendar watches of Patek Philippe's standard production. Made in a small series from 1995 to 2003, it is, with the exception of the enlarged flat bezel, identical to reference 5040 with black dial and Breguet numerals.

It is furthermore believed that only 250 pieces were produced, of which 20 pieces are known from the market - Reference 5041 is clearly one of the scarcest models of modern times featuring a perpetual calendar and is rarely offered at auction.
