Specialist note

Offered with its Rolex International Warranty card, sales tag and box, the present Daytona chronograph impresses through the quality of the gem-setting to its case and dial. Studded with approximately 54 caliber-cut diamonds to its case as well as a pave-set diamond dial with enamel Arabic numerals, the wristwatch displays the talent and level of skills of Rolex towards the creation of such technically challenging and lavishly-set timepieces.

Circa 2000, Rolex offered several innovations through the appearance of the new in-house Rolex Caliber 4130, the watch was thinner than previous Daytona models and furthermore encountered dial changes. In an effort to improve legibility, both subsidiary registers at 3 and 9 o’clock moved slightly upwards, the constant seconds register moved to 6’ clock and the size of the hour and minute hand increased.
