Movement: cal. 4030, 31 jewels, signed
Dial: champagne with diamond-set numerals, signed
Case: screw back, inside case back stamped 16500, 39 mm diam., signed
With: 18K gold Rolex Oyster bracelet, deployant clasp stamped 78668 and R9, overall length approximately 180 mm. Rolex period product literature, factory service booklet, period box and outer packaging.

Specialist note

Offered in excellent overall condition, the present Rolex Daytona chronograph features an attractive champagne dial with a soleil finish typical of the former manually-wound Daytona’s. With an attractive 18k gold case, the elegance of the timepiece is further enhanced through the eight brilliant-cut diamonds set in yellow gold. Part of the first automatic Rolex Daytona’s, the timepiece participates in showcasing the daring nature of the Rolex manufacture through its alliance of precious metals and stones.
