Note du spécialiste

Over a decade after Wait Until Dark, Audrey reunited with director Terence Young for glitzy thriller Bloodline. Based on Sidney Sheldon’s novel of the same name, the now 50 year old Audrey played 35 year old heiress Elizabeth Roffe, who takes charge of her father's pharmaceutical empire following his murder, only to discover the board members all want her dead in order to gain control of the family company. Shot on location in London, Paris, Rome, Copenhagen, Munich, Sardinia and New York, the international all-star cast included Omar Shariff, James Mason, Ben Gazzara and Gert Frobe as the detective who solves the murder mystery. Audrey only realised half way through shooting that there would be a sleazy subplot of pornographic snuff murders – it was her only R rated movie.
