The first watch with black dial
Movement: mechanical, cal. 38.5 LEPT1, 15 jewels
Dial: black dial, Arabic and baton numerals
Case: snap on back, winding crown set at 3 o’clock
Signed: case, dial and movement
Dimensions: 50 mm diam.
With: Omega Extract from the Archives confirming the production of the present watch on 24 November 1937 and its delivery to Pakistan.

The second watch with silvered dial
Movement: mechanical, cal. 37.6 SAV, 15 jewels
Dial: silvered dial, Arabic and baton numerals
Case: snap on back

Specialist note

The Omega Diplomat model is an ingenious Art Deco model built with a bezel hinged at noon and thus transformable into a table clock. The caliber 38.5 was made to fit the standard winding crown position at 12 o’clock when the caliber 37.6 explains the crown at 3 o’clock.
