ELEVEN WITH MARK OF GEORGE FENWICK, EDINBURGH, NINE 1820 AND TWO 1821, ONE WITH MARK OF PAUL STORR, LONDON, 1821
Each shaped circular and with gadrooned rim, later engraved with the Royal arms with a label for difference within Garter motto and below Royal duke's coronet, each marked underneath
9 ¾ in. (25 cm.) diam.

The later Royal arms are those of The Prince George, Duke of Kent (1902-1942).

Specialist note

A set of twelve silver soup-plates by George Fenwick, Edinburgh, 1820 and Paul Storr, London, 1821, engraved with the same arms were sold, The Duke of Kent, G.C.M.G., G.C.V.O., A.D.C.; Sotheby's, London, 26 June 1975, lot 46.
