Modelled by P. Reinicke, standing beside a basket of feathers and plucking a hen, on a scroll-moulded mound base enriched in gilding (hen's beak and feather in his left hand chipped, minor chipping to feathers in basket and leaves on base)

Specialist note

The Meissen ‘Cris de Paris’ series of street-vendors was modelled by P. Reinicke and overseen by J.J. Kändler after a series of drawings produced by Christophe Hüet in 1753.
